Japan at Moncham hills

After Covid-19 self quarantine measures have been loosen, it took me a few months before daring taking the plane to Chiangmai, the destination uncle Yongyuth and myself long for...
Among the places we like to visit when we are in this former capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom, Onsen @MonCham is definitely to be pinned. As we all know, Chiangmai is a land of misty mountain and hills.

MonCham Hill

I have to admit I somehow got cold feet when I started the pilgrimage this time. Indeed, a great part of Mother Nature has been encroached and, no need to verify the official land title deeds, I can say that these hotels and homestays have been built illegally. Too many constructions, shops,..., which make MonCham charmless. We had great difficulty to find a « clear » spot without obstruction to take the picture with the green hills.
Therefore we decided to head straight to our heaven on the hill we cherish, Onsen @MonCham.
We did discover this magical heaven a few years ago, when Onsen @MonCham was not officially opened.

Onsen @MonCham

I fall in love straight away with this safe haven: the greenery, the quietness, the cool temperature all year long, the hospitality discrete but always at our service, the food (Japanese and non Japanese food), the cleanliness, the onsen, the architecture, elderly people friendly. It's truly home away from home. I could stay there forever reading and surfing the world with the available hi-speed internet.
